Commerce is the backbone of every kind of development. In all areas, we need the knowledge of trade and commerce, business & industry. Commerce education has got more importance in various walks of life. As a result, students from this faculty have achieved more success in various fields. We are running one division for english medium students since 1997. This is a pride to our Commerce Department.
We are proud to mention that many of our students have completed CA ICWA CS & MBA courses & developed their career in various fields. This is the qualitative development we aim at.

The University Grand Commission has introduced computer application from June 2001 for F.Y.B.Com , S.Y.B.Com and T.Y.B.Com (two papers each instead of paper no. 5 or 6). Only 30 students can take admission for computer applications from academic year 2010 – 2011 (F.Y, S.Y, T.Y B.com) on the basis of merit.
Practicals have been included in commerce syllabus from June 1999 for the following class.
80 marks written exam will be taken by the university and 20 marks oral exam will be taken by the college.
The students have to complete their practical book and must complete six practicals for 20 marks in the above mentioned subjects.
The students will be declared as failed if they remain absent during practical exam.
Only 50 students can take admission for optional and special subjects.
From academic year 2004 -2005 the students of S.Y. B.A , S.Y. B.Com, S.Y. B.Sc have to pay Rs. 200 for the subject environment awareness)
In our commerce faculty, the following activities are undertaken for the enrichment of the staff & students & for developing their interest in various subjects.
Tutorials & monthly tests are conducted by the faculty to examine the students' performance frequently so that remedial measures can be taken to improve the performance during the next period.
Extra coaching classes & competitive exams are useful to prepare & guide the students.
Various articles, news & literature appear in various newspapers, which provide important information to the students. They are collected & displayed on the students' notice board regularly.
